For those of you without children (or this particular book) that is a title from a Bernstein Bear book that I read to Piper occasionally, and my poor attempt at being creative with my blog title. Now to follow through with my attempt....
Chloe is still INSIDE my belly, though I wish she were OUTSIDE because I am dying in this heat, but at least she is finally UPSIDE DOWN. (That's right, when I decide to flex my right brain this is what you get... a whole lot of cheese) I had an ultrasound on Wednesday to check her position since she had been breech up until that point. The first thing that I saw was Chloe's head, at the bottom of my uterus! Yeah! So she may be a little stubborn, but at least she listens in the end. I think she could feel how worried her daddy was and decided to make him happy (already a daddy's girl). Everything else checked out great, and I did have the tech check to confirm that she is still a girl... I would hate to be calling her baby Chloe all this time to end up having her come out a boy and really confuse Piper with the name change! :) So with 5 weeks left I only have to worry about keeping cool... wish me luck!

5 wonderful years
Today is the 5th anniversary of the day I made the best decision of my life. Five years ago today I chose to marry my best friend and love him for the rest of my days. I never thought such a decision could be so hard and so easy at the same time. Sharing your life with another human does not come naturally, but for me it has been the most rewarding experience. The challenges just keep coming after you introduce children into a marriage, but I couldn't imagine getting through each day with anyone other than Jason (to be honest I think I might eat them alive). I believe that Jason adds a great amount of balance in my life, and I hope that I do the same for him (I'd like to think I do). We are no perfect couple (like that even exists) but I believe that we strive to make each other happy each day (or at least most days). It seems hard to reflect on my life with Jason without sounding stupid or sappy, but I have found a few quotes hear and there that articulate my thoughts about our marriage after these five years better than I can...
"Success in marriage is much more than finding the right person; it is a matter of being the right person." -B.R. Brickner

"Trouble is part of your life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the person that loves you enough chance to love you enough." -Dinah Shore

"Marriage is three parts love and seven parts forgiveness." -Langdon Mitchell

"Almost all married people fight, although many are ashamed to admit it. Actually a marriage in which no quarreling at all takes place may well be one that is dead or dying from emotional undernourishment. If you care, you probably fight." -Flora Davis

"Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that's a real treat!" -Joanne Woodward
So here is to you Jason, for being my partner, for keeping me on my toes, and most importantly for making me laugh each and every day. Thanks for helping me make this look so easy!
