So a week after Halloween I'm feeling like I have been hit with the plague, but on the bright side Jason is taking care of Piper so I have a little time to blog on the couch.

This year we went out to Liepold Farms in Damascus to get our pumpkins. It was a bit funny because we went out to this nice big pumpkin patch with hay rides and all kinds of other fun things to do and what did we end up doing... picking out nearly the first pumpkins we saw, buying them and then turning around a going home. Well not exactly home, actually we went to Ken and Susie's house for lunch and then Jason volunteered at the annual Fall Festival out at Hood View Junior Academy where he coaches soccer.

Regardless it was a little amusing that we did not take advantage of any of the fun things to do at the pumpkin patch. There's always next year I guess, and Piper was pretty amusing as well. She walked right in to the patch, picked up a little pumpkin, put it in the wheel barrow and then tried wheeling it back!

Once we got the pumpkins home we carved them.
Jason carved his pumpkin...

And I carved mine and Piper's pumpkins...

And then of course we had to get pictures with our pumpkins. Piper was very interested in them and she kept trying to open the tops and look inside!

For Halloween we went to the Vancouver mall again.

We met my friend Amber and her husband Ira and their three girls there. It was not as good this year as I remember it being last year. Lots of the stores were out of candy so we did a lot of walking and got hardly any candy! Oh well, Jason and I would be the ones to eat it anyway, so I guess the less candy the better. We still had a pretty good time.

Piper was dressed as a mouse, and I was a cat. I thought that would be fitting seeing as I chase her around for most of the day on any given day! Amber's two older girls were Sleeping Beauty and a Dragon... very cute! We did see Hello Kitty at the mall, she was there with one of the stores. Piper didn't really know who she was, but Amber's kids were very much in awe of her! I think we all had a pretty good time.

And the best part was that Austin was over at the house staying the night, so we didn't even miss any trick or treaters at our house! :)
