Phone Call

Piper talked to Jason on the phone for the first time today. I thought I would share just because it was so cute. He has tried talking to her before but she never really got the whole concept. So today I was talking to Jason on his way home from work and Piper comes up to me and says "Inna talk", obviously meaning I want to talk. So I handed her the phone, thinking it would go pretty much the same it always had. Much to my surprise when Jason started talking to her she talked back. I have no idea if she was saying things that were appropriate to what Jason was saying, but it was so freaking cute. Then I tried to get the phone away from her and she all but threw herself to the ground in anger that I had taken the phone from her. Later my neighbor called and again Piper said, "Inna talk", but this time I did not let her, because I didn't really feel like putting my neighbor through that quite yet! :) After I got off the phone Piper continued her request so I gave her my phone and told her that daddy was not there anymore, he was gone. She proceeded to say "daddy" progressively louder until she finally gave up and resumed eating her dinner. So I guess we begin the never ending quest to talk, I thought I would have a few more years before she tried to take over the phone!

New Addition

Yes folks that is right... I am officially knocked up again! Jason and I are VERY excited to be expecting baby number 2, and we are hoping that this baby will be a boy. Of course we will be happy either way, but if this baby is a girl we decided to try once more to have a boy, and I think we are both thinking two kids is probably enough! :) I have been very exausted and sick for the past two months, but I believe that I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... I hope! :) Piper seems to be pretty excited, but I am not sure how much she understands that I am having a baby, and not just talking about babies. We got her a baby doll for Christmas and she has been loving playing with her, so hopefully as the due date approches (which is September 1st) she will start catching on a bit more. I will try to be a little better about blogging about the pregnancy, but as always no promises! :)

Snow Park

Last month we had yet another snow day and so Jason and I decided to try to get Piper out in the snow to play. We went over to our friend Angie's house because there is a park nearby, and we thought it would be fun to take her out to the park. It was absolutely freezing outside, and on top of that it was extremely windy up where she lives. But despite her shivering Piper had a fun time and started screaming when we had to make her leave. :) We even found little friend up there, and the two of them played on the swings together. I got some fun pictures (yes that is Piper in the pink, even though you can't see her face!) and even a little video of her playing with Jason on the slide.
